There is a version of you that isn’t striving.
Not performing. Not trying to hold everything together. Not wondering if you’re enough.
A version of you that feels:
at peace
connected
secure in who you are
Not because life is perfect…but because you are anchored.
Deep down, you’ve felt it before.
A glimpse. A moment.A sense of this is who I really am.
And then somehow…it slipped away.
The Way It Was Always Meant to Be
In the beginning, there was no striving.
No pressure to prove yourself. No fear of being too much or not enough.
There was connection.
Closeness.
A natural, unforced relationship with God.
You were known. You were safe. You were fully yourself… and it was good.
Like a garden, alive, whole, and at rest.
What Changed?
Life happened.
Moments where:
you felt unseen
misunderstood
not quite accepted as you were
Experiences where something in you quietly decided:
“I need to be different.”
“I need to try harder.”
“I can’t fully be myself here.”
Not consciously.
But deeply.
And over time, you learned to adapt.
To shape yourself around what felt safe. To meet expectations. To hold things together.
And slowly…you drifted from that original place of peace.
The Layers We Learn to Live From
You may not even notice it now.
Because it becomes normal to:
overthink
self-monitor
carry pressure internally
disconnect from what you actually feel
You can still function. Still show up. Still do life well on the outside.
But inside…there’s distance.
A quiet sense of:
“I don’t quite feel like myself.”
The Truth: Nothing Is Lost
Here’s the gentle truth.
You haven’t lost who you are.
You haven’t gone too far. You haven’t become someone else entirely.
The core of who God created you to be…is still there.
Untouched. Unchanged. Whole.
It hasn’t disappeared.
It’s just been covered, by layers of protection, adaptation, and survival.
This Isn’t About Becoming, It’s About Returning
So much of the world tells you:
“Become a better version of yourself.”
But what if healing isn’t about becoming someone new?
What if it’s about coming home?
Letting go of what was never truly you.vGently uncovering what’s always been there.
Not through pressure.vNot through striving.
But through safe, honest connection with yourself.
Relearning Connection
The kind of connection you were created for isn’t forced.
It’s relational.
With God. And within yourself.
Where you don’t have to hide parts of who you are. Where you don’t have to perform to be accepted.
Where you can be:
seen
known
and still deeply loved
And from that place…
Everything begins to shift.
What This Looks Like in Real Life
Coming home to yourself doesn’t mean everything suddenly becomes easy.
But it does mean:
you respond instead of react
you feel without being overwhelmed by it
you relate to yourself with kindness instead of pressure
You begin to trust yourself again.
Not because you’ve figured everything out, but because you’re no longer disconnected.
You’re Still That Person
The peaceful one. The grounded one. The one who doesn’t have to try so hard to be okay.
That person isn’t ahead of you.
They’re within you.
And they always have been.
If something in you is longing for that…
For more peace. More connection. More of your true self,
You don’t have to force your way back.
You can return gently.
One layer at a time. One honest moment at a time.
And if you’d like a space where that journey feels safe…
I’d love to walk alongside you.
